Set in the best location in Freshwater, BentFork is the perfect vegan cafe. I met up with a new friend of mine for a delicious healthy lunch and this couldn’t have been a better location.
Funny enough, about a year ago when I had first visited Australia, I had read the best reviews on this little restaurant and wanted so badly to go. Unfortunately, I had jam packed so many things into my short stay in Sydney I wasn’t able to head up to the northern beaches to come and check it now.
Now, a year later I’m working and living 10 minutes away from the restaurant and found it in my “Must go to places” Pinterest board just the other week and was able to finally test it out.
I had a cappuccino which, unfortunately, couldn’t make the picture as it was just too good. My friend had a matcha tea (which also didn’t make the picture..).
They have great choices of milk; almond, coconut, soy, lactose-free or regular milk; for someone who doesn’t have dairy and can’t stand the taste of soy milk, it’s always such a struggle going to vegan cafe’s where they only provide Soy milk or lactose-free.
So, thankfully they had a great selection as well, a great selection of desserts and meals. We both had fajita bowls.
I try not to eat meat so I kept mine 100% vegan but my friend chose to add some chicken. A vegan restaurant that also provides meat is wonderful during times where your vegan self, wants to go out for lunch with a non-vegan friend so you’re still able to enjoy a delicious vegan meal while they can have the meal of their choice as well.
At BENTfork, everything is vegan but there is the choice to add meat for an additional charge.
You’re able to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well, they sell alcohol!
I was driving that day so didn’t get the chance to test out their alcohol but I will definitely be returning to this quaint little restaurant and check out everything they have to offer.
