This is the ultimate detox smoothie. It not only helps clear the toxins from your body but it helps fight candida overgrowth as well.
Having the smoothie first thing in the morning is the most effective. You can choose to have it later in the day or before a meal to help you fight cravings throughout the day.
I created this detox smoothie a couple of years ago when I was doing my candida diet. It was absolutely delicious and I really enjoyed it.
Out of all the detox smoothies I’ve made, this one has been one of the best! It tastes great and I always feel full after having it.
Many people enjoy adding some additional ice into the smoothie to really thicken it up. It would actually create more of an ice cream like texture. This option is so refreshing during the warm summer months!

Something to know…
This smoothie is not good to have during the first couple weeks of the Candida Cleanse as you’re supposed to stay away from all fruits. But, after those first difficult parts of your cleanse are over this is great to have to continue your detox.
Feel free to add more ginger in this smoothie as it will really help you with your cleanse. Ginger is so important in helping you clear out all the toxins in your system. It is one of the worlds most powerful foods.

Psyllium powder is usually only used to help you stay ‘regular’ but little do many people know, there are so many other benefits!

The Most Effective Strawberry Ginger Detox Smoothie
Notes
Adding more almond milk will allow for a creamier taste. Whereas, adding more ice will create a more 'ice cream' like texture to the smoothie.
Ingredients
- 1-2 Cups almond milk
- 1/4 of an avocado
- 1 tablespoon flax oil
- 1/2 cup sliced strawberries (Frozen or fresh - fresh is prefered)
- 1 tablespoon psyllium powder
- 1/2 - 1 cup ice
- 1 tsp ginger
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into the blender and mix until smooth.
